Seasonal Flowers in April
April is generous. Tulips peak one last time with the largest and most varied cultivars, lilac arrives from the Netherlands in full bloom, ranunculus still holds. First peony heralds appear. Wide choice, moderate prices.

Tulip finale: double 'peony tulips', French double cultivars, parrot tulips. If you've never had generous tulip bouquets, April is the time — they look like peonies but last 7 days.
Lilac is April's statement flower. Woody stems, dense clusters in purple, white or pink. Intense scent, short vase life (4–6 days). Rough up the woody stem with a knife or cross-cut for better water uptake.
Ranunculus in late peak — buds larger, palette broad.
Forget-me-nots and small meadow varieties enter the range. Beautiful for loose, natural bouquets.
First farmer's peonies from the south appear late April — heralds of the May peak.
Slowly disappearing in April: anemones, hyacinth bulb plants.
April is the ideal month for wedding-bouquet consultations with seasonal flowers: still fresh tulips + ranunculus + lilac + soon peonies — couples can see their full vision concretely in April.
