Grave Flowers Stoffeler Friedhof Düsseldorf
Stoffeler Friedhof at Bittweg 62a is one of Düsseldorf’s large cemeteries — around 42 hectares, opened 1879, in the old south in the Oberbilk district, set between the Volksgarten and the Südpark, with a chapel from 1910 and the city’s crematorium. Because the crematorium is here, the proportion of urn graves is particularly high. We bind grave flowers, funeral arrangements and wreaths in our Pempelfort shop and prepare everything to look right at the grave — for the burial, the annual remembrance or All Saints’ Day.
How it works: you come into the shop in Pempelfort (Duisburger Str. 55) or write via the contact form. We discuss the occasion — fresh burial, urn burial, anniversary, All Saints’ Day —, the desired form (lying arrangement, wreath, bowl, planting) and the budget. From this we bind. If you bring a photo or the grave dimensions, we match proportion and colour more precisely.
Scope: lying funeral arrangements, wreaths in various sizes, casket and urn flowers for the service, plus seasonal grave planting for spring, summer, autumn and winter. Because of the on-site crematorium, Stoffeler Friedhof has many urn graves and communal sections where flowers are often placed only at the central monument — we shape arrangements and bowls to suit, compact and stable.
Lead time and timing: for a burial we ideally need 1–2 days’ lead, especially for wreaths with a ribbon and chosen text. Spontaneous grave flowers for an anniversary or visit are often possible the same day if the varieties are in. Before All Saints’ Day (the remembrance ceremony at Stoffeler Friedhof is traditionally on 1 November at 3 pm) it gets tight — pre-ordering clearly pays off here.
Style and options: from classic and calm (white, cream, green, eucalyptus) to colourful and personal, if the deceased would have wanted it that way. Ribbons with text we bind to your words. For planting we choose robust, site-appropriate plants — we’d rather sell something that survives the season than quick volume.
Practice and sourcing: we buy daily at the Veiling Rhein-Maas in A1 quality. That means fresh material with long keeping and vase life — for funeral floristry that often stands at the grave for days, a noticeable difference. Honest about location: our shop is in Pempelfort in the north of Düsseldorf, Stoffeler Friedhof in Oberbilk in the south — about 6 to 7 kilometres across the city to the south. So we are not the closest shop to Bittweg, but if personal advice and quality matter more to you than the shortest route, you’re in the right place. The simplest way is to take the finished flowers to the grave yourself; for delivery directly to the cemetery or service, talk to us and we’ll arrange it individually.

- For a burial ideally 1–2 days, especially with a wreath and a printed ribbon. Grave flowers for a visit or anniversary are often same-day. Before All Saints’ Day please order early.
- Do you deliver the grave flowers directly to Stoffeler Friedhof?
- The simplest way is to collect the finished flowers from us in Pempelfort and take them to the grave — we’re in the north, the cemetery in Oberbilk in the south. Delivery to the cemetery or service we arrange individually; just ask us.
- We have an urn grave in a communal section — does an arrangement fit there?
- At Stoffeler Friedhof, in many communal and urn sections flowers may only be placed at the central monument. We bind compact, stable arrangements or bowls for that. Best bring us the grave situation or a photo.
- What budget should I expect?
- A small grave bowl starts at €35, a lying funeral arrangement is usually €60 to 120, a wreath from about €90. Seasonal planting from €45 depending on grave size. We’re transparent and work within your budget.
