Flowers in Hassels

Hassels is not a uniform neighbourhood but a patchwork of building eras: the 1920s settlements around Schönenkamp and Rotdornweg in the south, the 1950s along Erlenweg and Schillstraße, plus the large Hassels-Nord estate on Potsdamer Straße from the 1970s. Running through it is Hasselsstraße as the old village axis — in the northern core the village character still recalls its days as a farming village. We deliver to all of these quarters.

Typical occasions here are down-to-earth: birthdays and milestone anniversaries, get-well bouquets, Mother's Day, and again and again funeral flowers for burials at the Hassels cemetery on Hasselsstraße (Friedhof Hassels). Many orders come from relatives who no longer live locally and want something delivered to parents or grandparents in the settlements.

Honest about delivery: Hassels sits roughly 11 km south of our Pempelfort shop — a noticeably longer drive than the city-centre districts. We deliver on weekdays and Saturdays but plan Hassels as a route stop. Same-day is not guaranteed; please order a day ahead where possible, then delivery is secure. With an early-morning order it often still works the same day depending on the route — we will tell you honestly.

Stylistically the classic and warm-hearted suits Hassels: hand-tied bouquets in warm tones, seasonal cut flowers from the Veiling Rhein-Maas, long-lasting varieties rather than short-lived trends. For funeral work we make arrangements, wreaths and coffin decorations — gladly in coordination with the funeral director.

Connection from Pempelfort: tram line U72 links Hassels with Benrath to the south and the city centre; from Wehrhahn near our shop it is a good 30 minutes depending on the change. By car via the B8 and Werstener Straße it is around 20 to 25 minutes. The nearby Reisholz S-Bahn station (S6) on the eastern edge is a handy anchor point for southern Hassels.
