Himmelgeist is one of Düsseldorf's smallest and oldest districts — just over 2,000 residents, a village core on the left bank of the Rhine, old farmsteads and spacious single-family homes. Himmelgeist sits in Düsseldorf's south, embedded in the Himmelgeister Rheinbogen — the city's largest nature reserve. Around the Romanesque church of St. Nikolaus run narrow, village-like lanes: Himmelgeister Landstraße, Nikolausstraße, Bahlenstraße and Paul-Thomas-Straße. Low houses, cobblestones and pollarded willows define the scene, alongside landmarks such as Schloss Mickeln in its classical landscape park.

We deliver on weekdays and Saturdays. Himmelgeist, however, is around 10 to 11 km from our shop in Pempelfort — so we plan delivery by arrangement and ideally one day in advance. Same-day is not guaranteed here; with an early morning order we will check whether it still works the same day, but we would rather be honest than break a promise.

Honest connection from Pempelfort: Himmelgeist is one of the more distant districts. By car it is about 20 to 25 minutes via the B8 and the Rhine bridge, by public transport noticeably longer — light-rail U72 or U76 runs to Holthausen, then onward by bus 835 to Alt Himmelgeist. We come by delivery vehicle, but need a little planning lead time.
