Flowers in Lohausen

Lohausen is one of Düsseldorf's greenest and quietest districts: an old village core first mentioned in 1047, fields, riding stables and bridle paths, the Rhine to the west and the airport right next door — which covers around two thirds of the district's area. With only about 4,200 residents, people here live in detached houses, old farmsteads and well-kept villas — a settled, nature-loving clientele, and our bouquets are usually delivered straight to the front door.

Classic-natural bouquet for Düsseldorf-Lohausen

Life here runs along Niederrheinstraße, the neighbourhood's unofficial spine. It is also home to the Spee memorial chapel, built in 1839 in neo-Romanesque style by Rudolf Wiegmann to commemorate Count Franz von Spee. The Catholic parish church St. Mariä Himmelfahrt followed a little later, in 1899, as a brick building. Around them lie quiet residential streets like Kalkumer Straße, Lohauser Dorfstraße and small paths towards the Rhine meadows — lots of green, little through-traffic, a true village within the city.

Typical occasions in Lohausen tend to be classic: milestone birthdays, anniversaries, bouquets for Sunday coffee at the parents' or grandparents' home, plus table arrangements for celebrations in one's own house or garden. Welcome bouquets for guests arriving at the nearby airport over the weekend are part of it too.

We deliver on weekdays and Saturdays. Lohausen sits a fair way north of our shop — same-day is possible but not guaranteed: order by 12:00 and we will try for the same day, but we prefer to firmly schedule the slightly longer drive for a chosen day. Just talk to us and we'll find a slot.

Stylistically the calm, refined residential areas suit a classic-natural look: double roses, hydrangeas, peonies in season, with eucalyptus and grasses. A touch fuller and more representative than in the younger inner-city quarters, but never overloaded — quality and longevity over volume.

Honest connection from our Pempelfort shop (Duisburger Str. 55): around 6 to 7 km north, 15 to 20 minutes by car depending on traffic, or about 25 minutes by tram U79 (Lohausen stop). We build this distance firmly into the delivery route.
