Flowers in Unterrath
Unterrath lies in Düsseldorf's north, near the airport, and is a down-to-earth residential district: apartment blocks along Unterrather Straße alternate with single-family homes, and the Vogelsiedlung is regarded well beyond the district as an upscale residential area. Our bouquets here reach families, long-standing residents and commuters around Unterrath station — more classic than trendy.
The heart of Unterrath is Unterrather Straße with its everyday shops. Around it, Kalkumer Straße and the quiet Vogelsiedlung with its bird-named lanes (Schwalbenweg, Starenweg) shape the area — plenty of greenery, tidy front gardens, a neighbourhood where people know each other.
Occasions here tend to be classic: milestone birthdays, golden weddings, bouquets for the neighbour or the grandparents and, again and again, funeral flowers — Unterrath has its own cemetery, the Friedhof Unterrath at Unterrather Straße 51, and the large Nordfriedhof lies just south at the district boundary (in neighbouring Derendorf).
We deliver on weekdays and Saturdays. Because of the distance to the north, same-day delivery to Unterrath is not guaranteed — please order a day ahead if you can; with orders by around 12:00 we try for same-day by arrangement, but it can only be reliably planned for the next day.
Stylistically, Unterrath suits the tried and trusted with character: a full bouquet of roses with seasonal greenery, classic birthday bouquets in warm tones, and dignified arrangements and wreaths for mourning. We focus on longevity over volume — everything bought fresh at the Veiling Rhein-Maas.
Honest about the connection: from our shop in Pempelfort (Duisburger Straße 55) it is roughly 7 km north, 15 to 20 minutes by car depending on traffic. By public transport the S1 and S11 trains and tram lines 705 and 707 run to Unterrath. For us that means a real drive — we like to bundle trips to the north, hence the request for a little lead time.

- Yes, we deliver throughout Unterrath — Unterrather Straße, Kalkumer Straße, the Vogelsiedlung and around Unterrath station (postcodes 40468 and 40472). Please note the doorbell name and floor.
- Does same-day delivery to Unterrath work?
- Only to a limited extent. Unterrath is about 7 km north of our shop in Pempelfort, which is a real drive. With orders by around 12:00 we try for same-day by arrangement — but it is only reliably planned for the next day. Best to order a day ahead.
- Do you deliver to Friedhof Unterrath or the Nordfriedhof?
- Yes — to Friedhof Unterrath (Unterrather Straße 51) and the nearby Nordfriedhof we deliver funeral arrangements, wreaths and coffin bouquets. At least 1 day's lead time, ideally 2 for wreaths. We are happy to coordinate timing and hand-off with the funeral director.
- Is there a minimum order?
- There is no fixed minimum order; delivery starts at €6. For a trip to the north a slightly larger bouquet is worthwhile, as the drive and delivery cost spread better — we are happy to advise.
