Bridal Bouquet Preservation

A bridal bouquet is the first thing to wilt after the big day — and often what you most want to remember. We preserve it so the flowers become something lasting: dried, cast in resin or framed. The one thing that matters — bring it to us early enough, while the blooms are still alive.

Preserved bridal bouquet as a keepsake

How it works: bring your bridal bouquet into the shop ideally the day after the wedding (or contact us beforehand so we know it's coming). We look at it together, discuss which preservation method suits your flowers and your idea, and then take it into work. Personal consultation is always free and walk-in.

Preparation — the most important part: after the celebration, the bouquet should stand in fresh water and be kept cool (out of direct sun, off the radiator shelf). The sooner it reaches us, the better the result. One to two days after the wedding is ideal. If that's not possible, talk to us anyway — we'll see what can still be saved.

Options: drying preserves the whole shape of the bouquet as a natural dried arrangement — airy, fleetingly beautiful, ideal as a wall piece or in a vase. Individual blooms can be cast in casting resin into pendants, coasters or a block object where the flower ‚floats‘ forever. Or we set selected pressed blooms flat into a picture frame — a memory image for the wall. We work out what suits your bouquet together.

Timing and lead time: preservation takes patience. Drying takes two to four weeks depending on method, resin and frame work need extra time for curing and design. Plan for several weeks overall until your finished piece is ready to collect. We'll get in touch as soon as it is.

Our connection to the craft: we're a specialist shop with over 45 years of floristry experience and we know flowers from the fresh side — we source daily at the Veiling Rhein-Maas auction. That feel for the material helps with preservation: we know which blooms dry well, which hold their colour in resin, and where caution is needed.

Frequently asked

How quickly do I need to bring the bouquet after the wedding?
As early as possible — one to two days afterwards is ideal. Until then, keep the bouquet in fresh water and store it cool. The fresher the blooms, the better the preserved result.
Which preservation method should I choose?
It depends on what you want: the whole shape as a dried bouquet, a jewellery or block object in resin with individual blooms, or a flat memory image in a frame. We look at your bouquet and recommend what suits the flowers and you.
How long does preservation take and what does it cost?
Plan for several weeks — drying alone takes two to four weeks, resin and frame work need extra time to cure and shape. Prices start from around €60 depending on method; we discuss the exact range once we've seen your bouquet.
Can every bridal bouquet be preserved?
Almost any — some blooms dry or cure better than others. If the bouquet is already heavily wilted, we'll tell you honestly what's still possible. Often we save the most beautiful individual blooms even when the whole bouquet is past its shape.
